Run the canteen order board

Use live orders, ticket numbers and station status so game-day volunteers are not guessing.

Overview

Game day is when organisation matters most. The order board gives kitchen, window and coordinator volunteers the same live view.

Before you start

• Decide who is on kitchen, window and coordinator.
• Confirm the session or match window you are trading in.
• Keep ticket numbers visible to the customer.

Steps

1. Open Canteen & Orders.
2. Start or select today’s board.
3. Take or receive the order and give it a ticket number.
4. Route the order to the right station.
5. Mark the order preparing, then ready.
6. Call or display the ticket number at the window.
7. Close the board at the end of the session.

What happens next

The club has a simple record of a busy trading period. The next volunteer can see how the board was run instead of inventing a new process each Saturday.

Tip: Keep the board on a dedicated tablet so volunteers are not hunting through a phone.
